Case study · Glass replacement · Milton Keynes
A failed unit, a weight-restricted site. Replaced from the ropes.
A specialist cleaning contractor brought Invictus Access in for our glazing expertise. We removed a broken high-level unit on a residential block and installed the new one, working alongside a lightweight tracked crane.
The project
Specialist glazing for a specialist contractor
A specialist cleaning contractor came to Invictus Access for our glazing skills when a high-level glass unit failed on a residential block in Milton Keynes.
Weight restrictions on site ruled out a conventional mobile crane, so the lift was planned around a lightweight tracked spider crane, operated under a full contract lift by a specialist crane team. That kept the load on the ground within limits while still reaching the opening.
Our two-person IRATA team removed the broken unit from the ropes, then guided the new unit into the opening as the crane brought it up, and secured and sealed it in place.
