Sign installation · London & the South East
Sign installation at height. No crane, no scaffold.
Building signage lifted with a roof-mounted powered winch and fixed from the ropes by our IRATA team. Ideal for tall, clad and hard-to-reach elevations.
What we do
Signs installed from the ropes
High-level signs usually mean a crane, a large MEWP or scaffold, plus road closures and permits. On many buildings, rope access does the job with far less disruption.
We rig from the roof and lift each sign up the face of the building with our Harken powered winch. Our IRATA technicians then fix it to the facade or cladding from the ropes, following the sign manufacturer’s fixing guidance. See our Ipswich sign installation case study.

FAQs
Sign installation: common questions
Do you need a crane to install high-level signs?
Often not. We lift signs with a roof-mounted Harken powered winch and fix them from the ropes, which avoids crane hire, road closures and permits on many buildings.
How are the signs fixed?
Signs are fixed to the facade or cladding following the sign manufacturer’s fixing guidance.
Can you remove old signs?
Yes. We can take down existing signage and install the new signs in the same visit.
Which areas do you cover?
London, Kent and the South East, and further afield. Our Ipswich installation is one example.
