High-level glazing · London & the South East
High-level glazing. Repaired and replaced at height.
Failed units, cracked glass, leaking curtain walls and roof glazing, fixed by an IRATA Level 3-led team that knows glazing as well as access. No scaffold in most cases, and a fixed price after a free survey.
What we do
High-level glazing, without the scaffold
High-level glazing is any glass that is out of reach from the ground: upper-floor windows, curtain walls, atria, rooflights and canopies. The hard part is rarely the glass. It is getting safe access to it without weeks of scaffold or a road closure.
That is where we come in. Invictus Access combines IRATA rope access with specialist glazing skills, so one team gets to the pane and does the repair. Most jobs are rigged from the roof. For very large or heavy units we work alongside a crane, with our technicians guiding the glass in from the ropes. Read more about rope access glazing and glass replacement without a crane.

FAQs
High-level glazing: common questions
What is high-level glazing?
Any glazing work that is above easy reach from the ground or a stepladder: upper-floor windows, curtain walls, atria, rooflights, canopies and glass balustrades. The challenge is less the glass itself and more getting safe, efficient access to it.
How do you reach high-level glazing?
Usually by IRATA rope access, rigged from the roof, which avoids scaffold and road closures. Where a unit is too large or heavy to hoist from the roof, we work alongside a crane, as on our Lots Road and Milton Keynes projects, with our technicians guiding the glass in from the ropes.
Can you replace a single failed unit high up?
Yes. A single cracked or misted unit is one of the most common jobs we do. We measure it, specify a replacement to match the existing glass, then remove the old unit and fit the new one from the ropes.
Is high-level glazing by rope access cheaper than scaffold?
On most jobs, yes, because there is no scaffold to hire, erect and strike and usually no pavement licence. The saving depends on the building, so we price every job after a free site survey.
Do you work on occupied buildings?
Yes. Most of our glazing work is on buildings that stay open. We keep the street footprint to a small barrier zone and can work out of hours where needed.
Which areas do you cover?
London, Kent and the South East as standard, and further afield for larger glazing packages, such as our atrium roof refurbishment on the Isle of Wight.
