The project
Heritage redecoration without a scaffold
Invictus Access carried out external painting of the window frames on a listed building in central London.
On a listed building the finish and the protection of the original fabric matter as much as the paint. Each window was prepared first, and the glass and surrounding surfaces were masked and protected before any paint went on.
The building sits in a busy central London location with heavy footfall, so working by rope access kept the street clear of scaffold and the work zone below tightly managed.

How we delivered it
Prepare, protect, paint
Frames prepped
Each window frame was prepared to give the new paint a sound surface.
Mask and protect
Glass, sills and surrounding masonry were masked and protected.
From the ropes
Frames were painted by our IRATA team working down the elevation.
Busy street below
Heavy footfall was managed at ground level throughout the works.
